GREAT FOR BEGINNERS LIKE ME, February 20, 2012 By Dizzy G (Oak Harbor, WA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Capresso EC100 Pump Espresso and Cappuccino Machine /Coffee Burr Grinder Outfit This is my first espresso maker and I have been using it for three months. I believe it works just fine. I get "crema" each time, since I figured out how to make an espresso properly.
The burr grinder does need to be set on the lowest setting to make a perfect espresso with this machine every time - It does what it is intended.
As I have learned and heard, it takes practice and patience to get to know your machine. So, after a dozen failed attempts (perhaps more) I have finally mastered a good pull from this machine. The puck is no longer loose and comes out nicely packed after a pull. Now I'm addicted and make myself a macchiatto several times a day.
The only con I would have about this machine is the steamer wand. Without the attachment for the steamer wand it is a bit short (about an 1.5") when I only want to steam a small about of milk for the size pitcher (holds 16oz full) I purchased (separately). I don't always want foam and need to steam... Read more

Coffe Grinder - Is a good grinder if you want to prepare regular coffe, it is not good for espresso coffee. To get kind of espresso powder you will need to go up to de last number in the grinder.
